Body Type: Cladonia -  squamulose

Description: The basal squamules are very small with an orange tint to the base. They may be lightly sorediate and incised. The green-grey to white podetia may reach a height of 3 cm. The cups open out abruptly from the stalk reaching a diameter of 5 mm. Thallus C negative, K positive (yellow), KC negative, Pd positive (orange), UV negative (thamnolic acid).

Chemical Tests: K+ yellow, Pd+ orange, UV-.

Nature Notes: Found on decaying wood, especially tree trunks and old fences. Common on heathland and among mosses.
