Coastal-Submerged (submerged by the tide
Coastal-Submerged. Lichens in this area are covered by the tide each day. They are specific to this habitat and rarely overlap with other habitats. They are tolerant of both salt water (from the sea) and fresh water (rain). These are further subdivided into the black zone, yellow zone and grey zone.
